The UPCAT

The UPCAT is a five-hour examination consisting of four subtests: Science, Math, Language Proficiency (English and Filipino), and Reading Comprehension (English and Filipino). The standardized UPCAT scores are combined with the weighted average of the final grades of three high school years preceding the year of graduation to determine the UP admission grade.

Transfer Students

UPLB admits transfer students, allows the transfer of students between colleges, and from other UP constituent universities. Admission is subject to the rules set not only by the University but also by the Colleges that offer the degree program which the transfer student wishes to enroll in.

Foreign Students

A foreign student may be admitted as a new freshman or as a transferee subject to rules governing the transfer. Dual citizens must, choosing to be considered as Filipinos, submit prior to admission a copy of the order of the Identification Certificate issued by the Bureau of Immigration. They are also required to enroll in the National Service Training Program.
